Christopher studied Painting and Printmaking at City & Guilds of London Art School and continued at the Royal Academy Schools. Since graduating in 1980 he has exhibited widely and taught Drawing, Painting and Printmaking at the City & Guilds of London Art School and University of Chichester Dept of Fine Art. He has recently retired from teaching to concentrate on his own work.
He sees himself as a realist painter and prefers to work directly from observation. He is most at home working outdoors but has a studio in West Sussex with printmaking facilities where he also undertakes a variety of work to commission.
At the 2012 RBA exhibition he was the winner of The Artist̛̛ Prize and the March 2013 issue of the Artist magazine features an extended article by Julian Halsby RBA with illustrations and information about working methods.
