The Royal Society of British Artists

The Royal Society of British Artists advocates the highest standards of skill, expression and concept throughout the visual arts. We represent 'leading edge' artists who employ a sound knowledge and application of draughtsmanship as the basis of their work.

Our annual exhibition at the prestigious Mall Galleries in London, together with other regional and international members' exhibitions we hold throughout the year, promote a renaissance of core aesthetic values within the visual arts.

The Royal Society of British Artists also works with schools, colleges and universities to uphold these principles within education and to encourage excellence in the development of emerging artists.

This group of paintings represents the best of the A level work of students from Astor College for the Arts in Dover and prize-winning students from the National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS) awards scheme. It is our intention that from next year a greater number of works, from both these organisations, will be shown alongside that of members and non-members.

This is an exciting idea designed to encourage and familiarise young artists with a professional body like the RBA in the hope that they will eventually become regular exhibitors and of course to consider membership.
